The Experience
Experience the ultimate marine adventure. It is a magical journey - the smell of the salt in the air, the cry of the birds, and the sight of the whales and dolphins that will quite literally, take your breath away. We take special notice of any dolphins in the area, visit the seals and check out any seabirds, sharks and other marine species that may be around, you never know what you are going to see!!
Vital info
This experience is available in Plettenberg Bay only. Trips are operated all year around and should be booked at least 4 weeks in advance. Children younger than 3 may accompany an adult at no extra charge.
The Weather
This is a weather dependant activity and will not take place if the sea or weather is unfavourable. However if that should happen the trip may be rescheduled.
Session Length
The excursion and time at sea is approximately 2 hours.
Numbers
This experience is for 2 adults and 2 kids uder 12 years of age. Minimum and maximum number of participants apply to this experience. If the minimum number of participants is not met, your trip will be re-scheduled.
Dress code
Please bring sunblock and sunglasses, a warm sweater or windbreaker and comfortable shoes. Should you have concerns with regards to possible motion-sickness, we suggest taking one tablet at least 24 hours before the trip and another one hour beforehand.
Availability
Trips are made almost daily weather permitting. You need to confirm cruise times with the operator as times do change according to the weather patterns. We will supply you with details upon your booking. Trips are usually scheduled as follows: 9h30, 12h00, 14h30. Official’ whale season, based on the presence of Southern Right Whales along our coastline, runs between July and November… however, we are fortunate to have Humpback Whales between April and January. Bryde’s whales are seen along our coastline ALL year round, so there is always a chance of getting ‘up close and personal’ with whales in South Africa. All trips should be booked at least 4 weeks in advance.
