Balloon rides are one of our most popular experiences. It is a magical way to fly, and you are sure to experience something special while you are drifting in silence across the sky steered only by the wind and air currents. Based on your travel plans and your booking request this magical flight will be either over private game reserve adjoining Kruger Park or in the beautiful Sabie River valley near Hazyview. This is experience for one person.

The Experience
The experience begins when you meet your crew at 05h30 AM, just as the sun is rising at the launch site. Hot tea, coffee and biscuits are served whilst you watch the crew prepare the huge colourful balloons for flight in the calm, stable morning air. Passengers are invited to climb aboard and the pilot gives them a short safety briefing prior to take off. A farm-Style breakfast will be offered back at the base.

Information
Ballooning is suitable for anyone between 7 and 70, as long as they are nimble, able to jump unassisted from a height of 60cm and stand for the duration of the flight (approx. one hour). Children are to be accompanied by an adult. You will need to supply us with how much you weigh. Not suitable for pregnant women.
The
Weather
Ballooning is a very weather dependent. In the event of poor weather, the operator will contact you the night before the flight or very early on the morning of the flight to arrange an alternative date.
Session
Length
The total experience lasts four to five hours, including the flight of about one hour. Transport time is additional to this.
Numbers
This is an experience for one person only. Balloon baskets accommodate 8 to 18 passengers.
Dress
Code
Clothing should be warm enough for the chilly early morning, but it should also be layered to 'peel' off as the sun, excitement and champagne warm you up. 'Country' shoes or sneakers are recommended.
Availability
Balloon flights go up every day of the year, depending on the weather conditions. Bookings should be made 3 - 4 weeks in advance.
Other
Information
The experience includes in-flight or landing champagne, transfer back to the country base where a farm-style, champgane breakfast is served. Bring your camera, extra film or extra video batteries - the scenery is spectacular!
