For the sheer joy of flying micro-lighting is hard to beat. No other aircraft offers the same feeling of freedom – in control of your own wings and with the wind-in-your-face. Two of you will have 20 minutes each of a low and slow flight in a light, highly maneuverable and surprisingly stable dual-seater aircraft.

The Experience
This experience includes a short briefing from your instructor before your flight in this amazing machine. During your flight, subject to the pilot's discretion, you will be encouraged to take the controls of the craft. If you get a taste for microlighting, you can use your flying time towards a Private Pilot's License for microlights.
Vital Info
Maximum weight is 80 kg and minimum age is from 12 to 14 depending on location. Under 18s must be accompanied to the venue by an adult and must have a disclaimer signed by a parent or guardian.
The Weather
Microlighting is a weather dependent activity and it is crucial that you call the venue or centre for a weather check before setting out. If your flight is cancelled due to the weather it will be re-booked on an alternative date. Details will be supplied upon booking.
Session Length
Flight will last for approximately 20 minutes for each of you.
Numbers
Experience is for two people. Your briefing may be shared, however your flight will be held on a one-to-one basis with a qualified pilot.
Spectators
Spectators are welcome to come along and watch you take off and land.
Dress Code
Most microlights have open cockpits, so it will be necessary to dress warmly. It is good idea to wear sunglasses as they give you an even better view of the sky.
Availability
Operational dates vary but generally each centre runs every weekend and some weekdays during the summer months. In winter on some specific weekends. Contact us for available dates.
Other information
Your flying time can count towards a Private Pilot's License for microlights. If you have ever wanted to be a pilot, then this is a great way to start. Please be aware that this is quite a high adrenaline experience and not for the faint hearted.
