Who needs snow or water when you can skim down the sand dunes? Sandboarding is as exciting as Snowboarding without getting wet or cold. If you can snowboard and surf, sandboarding will come easily, if not, expect some tumbling down and lots of fun and excitement. Our highly experienced instructors will help you with safety tips and have you on your way down the dunes in no time at all.

The Experience
If you feel the need for speed, adrenalin, thrills and just a whole lot of fun join us for a sandboarding day. Using specially designed boards, our expert guides will have you zooming down the dunes in no time. At the end of the day you will be gliding over sand getting addicted to the thrill of that fastest growing underground sport.
Vital Info
You must be 10 years of age and older. You must be reasonably physically fit to take part. You cannot try Sandboarding without special boots, as your ankles could become very sore, so make sure to bring along some thick socks. This experience is ideal for complete beginners.
The Weather
Sandboarding is a weather dependant activity and it would not take place in wet conditions.
Session Length
Your Sandboarding experience will last half a day. It begins with a safety briefing and an introduction to the equipment. Then you tackle some basic moves and ascertain which is your leading leg under the watchful eye of a qualified instructor. Introduction, safety briefing and lessons with a professional sandboard instructor will last about 3 hours.
Numbers
This experience is for one person only. There will be other people taking part in each lesson.
Spectators
Spectators might not be permitted, please enquire upon booking.
Dress Code
Dress code is casual. Bring sunscreen, sun hat or cap, sunglasses, thick socks and a sense of fun.
Availability
Weekends and occasional weekdays, or on a daily basis in season, subject to availability.

True sandboarding is the art of standing with two feet locked onto a board and carving arks down a dune. One can control ones board and speed by turning, stopping and jumping. Bindings on the board and boots are important for control of the board and protection of one's ankles. The beauty is that once one can sandboard; one will be able to snowboard as the basic principles are the same.
