Anyone can abseil and you don't need any previous experience. It's only recently that abseiling has become an activity in its own right. Really it is the method climbers use to get off a mountain but it's fun and so it has become available as an activity in its own right. It is the way to get some of the best views and, once the butterflies are out of the way - after the first 2 metres- you will get that unmistakeable sense of achievement.
